Received my order of two bottles, both have very nice fragrances, but had 1 bottle slip out of box and shattered on the floor…. Beautiful box but very difficult to carry without top slipping off.

While I’m not quite getting as much grapefruit notes than I am patchouli. This cologne from Zen does have a powerful spicy-citrus-herby-woody complex smell. While recommendable I found it almost too overpowering.Thanks for stopping by hope this was helpful.

TEXT:It's kind of hard to review something like a perfume or cologne as it's all about personal taste, so I'll try to keep most of the review as objective as possible.First off, it comes in some nice, expensive-feeling packaging. The bottle also looks great, so this item could easily be used as a gift that could impress. I found the pump sprays a fair amount of fragrance compared to some of my other bottles, so if you are normally a multi-sprayer, maybe stick to one with this fragrance. Part of the reason I say this is I found this cologne to be really strong, not in a bad way, but it is definitely a heavier scent.I found the scent also stays around for a long time. As with any new colognes, it takes a while before you become nose-blind to it, but I feel this is a fragrance you could use in the morning and still have some fragrance in the afternoon.So here is the subjective part of this review. I liked the fragrance, but it's not my absolute favorite. To me, it is definitely more of a fall to winter scent, so right now is a good timing. The scent is definitely really strong and can become a bit cloying if you use too much, so be cautious there.CONCLUSION:So, preference aside, I think this would make a great gift for someone.
